At the heart of the Thiérache, the Gîte de France du Cheval de Renfort is a 19th century post-house in a peaceful, leafy setting in Ohis, one of the loveliest villages in France. It has the special Panda label (symbol of the WWF) because of its superb natural setting and its conversion using eco-friendly materials while retaining all its charm and comfort. Nature lovers staying here can observe rare species such as otters and black storks. Walkers and hikers will love the vast network of signposted paths on its doorstep. Nearby are the famous fortified churches, the abbey of Saint-Michel en Thiérache and the Familistère Godin.
