South of Laon, 1 hr 30 min. from Paris, the 18th century Vendangeoir d'Orgeval is a lovely, traditional residence with 2 charming guest rooms. It stands in a leafy valley, set in an Italian style terraced garden full of flowers. The tastefully decorated guest rooms are on the first floor of the converted stable block, with a bathroom in the cellar with its vaulted roof and exposed stone walls – enjoy a relaxing bath in period surroundings! This old wine-grower’s house is perfect for a romantic weekend! Ideally located for visiting the medieval city of Laon, the Chemin des Dames (World war I remembrance) and Center Parcs, for a round of golf on the Ailette course and for hiking/riding along one of the many tracks in the area.
